Daniel's Birthdate: March 30, 2017
''Laura is incredible. Having only met her for the first time when I was in active labor, I was surprised by how comforted and connected I felt in her presence. I was immediately grateful that she was assisting our birth the moment I saw her 'in action'.
She is very organized, prepared and streamline. She is incredibly attentive and in tune with a laboring women's needs. She is entirely selfless, and although she is in training, she is clearly wise to the practice of midwifery. Highly recommended.''

I like to have a one-on-one consultation with pregnant moms or couples who want to talk about possibilities or just meet to see if we are a good fit. When someone decides to retain my services, I offer much more than just labor support. I will do two prenatal visits, one at your home and one at mine, where I will do some childbirth education, answer any questions you have and get a feel for the kind of birth experience you wish to have. I love to provide moms with some of my hand crafted products such as soaps, herbal teas and salves to help during your pregnancy. I also offer pregnancy massage at at least one visit. I love to do henna belly art if that’s something that appeals to you also! I make myself available by phone throughout your pregnancy any am happy to take time to address any questions or concerns that you may have.
Currently, I require all clients to agree to co-care with t doctor.
As soon as you feel that you need me once you are in labor, I will come to you and be by your side until baby is here and you are feeling comfortable and wanting private family time. During labor, I will follow your cues and be there for you in any way you wish. I will use my knowledge of aromatherapy, useful positioning, relaxation and massage techniques, guided meditations, birthing balls, rebozo methods and more to keep you as comfortable as possible. I have assisted over 90 women to have successful, comforting births. I also bring labor-friendly snacks to keep your energy up! If your labor is at a hospital, I won't speak for you, but will be there to assist in communicating your wishes to the hospital staff and to make sure you stay informed on all matters.
After your baby is born, I usually stay about two hours postpartum, but this varies depending on the situation. I will come back for one post partum visit to see how everyone is adjusting, bring a meal for your family and a gift basket of my handcrafted goods for you and baby. Im happy to help straighten up or hold baby so you can rest a bit at this visit.
Please contact me with any questions you have or to set up a time to meet and talk more!
